Reason for establishment Main duties
 This section was established to create a functional and efficient system from a comprehensive perspective, and to uniformly manage various specific safety management duties—such as environmental conservation, health and safety management, disaster prevention, and traffic safety—among different departments. 1.Planning and formulating university-wide matters related to Tokyo Tech’s overall safety management.
2.Carrying out safety management and education and training related to environmental pollution, health hazards, accidents and disasters that may occur as a result of Tokyo Tech education and research activities.
　 　Environment and Safety Team
　The Environment and Safety Team plans, drafts, investigates and reviews the following matters:
　①　Matters related to basic environmental preservation policies
　②　Specialized matters related to environmental preservation measures, etc.
　③　Matters concerning education and training related to environmental preservation
　④　Other matters related to environmental preservation that the head of the General Safety Management Division is consulted on
　 　Health and Sanitation Team
　The Health and Sanitation Team plans, drafts, investigates and reviews the following matters:
　①　Matters related to basic policies on health and safety and health management for staff, students, etc.
　②　Specialized matters related to the measures, etc. in (1)
　③　Matters related to education and training to prevent hazards and health problems for staff, students, etc.
　④　Other matters related to health and safety and health management that the head of the General Safety Management Division
　　　is consulted on
　 　Disaster Prevention and Transportation Team
　The Disaster Prevention and Transportation Team plans, drafts, investigates and reviews the following matters:
　①　Matters related to basic policies on disaster prevention and traffic safety
　②　Specialized matters related to the measures, etc. in (1)
　③　Matters related to investigations related to restrictions on vehicles entering the premises and complaint processing
　④　Matters related to measures taken on traffic violations on campus
　⑤　Matters related to education and training related to disaster prevention and traffic safety
　⑥　Other matters related to disaster prevention and traffic safety that the head of the General Safety Management Division is
